Often it’s the work that goes unseen, undervalued and underappreciated that costs us the most energy. The funny thing is, it’s that sort of work that really keeps the cogs turning. So with that in mind, it can be a feeling of being damned if you do, and damned if you don’t. There’s always another option though; rather than waiting for external validation from others to recognise all your efforts, choose to recognise it for yourself! Go out and buy yourself that thing you’ve had your eye on for a while!
