Gibbous Moon into Leo
Today the Moon moves into Leo ahead of the upcoming Full Moon which will actually take place one more sign along, in Virgo. Regular readers will know that at the moment we have an interesting astro-phenomena going on in that the Full Moons are taking place at the so-called “the Critical Degree”.
To put that in context, all 12 signs of the zodiac are divided into 30 degrees. If you’re any good at maths, you will already have decided that this makes sense since the zodiac is essential a circle of 360 degrees.
The 29th degree of every sign is known as the anaretic or karmic degree. That’s a topic for another time, but effectively it’s all about wrapping things up, the getting of wisdom, processing the past, good or bad, and the culmination of efforts.
A critical degree…
The 0 degree is every sign is known as the Critical Degree and represents a new start. Think of the idealistic youth as he or she sets out in life, think of the Fool in the Tarot and think of rashness, a lack of experience and a new start.
Apply the idea of the Critical Degree – the fool-hardy, optimistic soul trying something new – to the emotion of the Full Moon, which is always about turning points. There are lessons coming to you about:
– a turning point you need to take
– a change you need to make for the good of your health
– something you need to move on from (look at where in your chart the Full Moon is or read all about it in your Full Moon info sheets here)
– If you really want to create the life of your dreams, you need to analyse how you feel (Virgo is all about analysis) and start to work through your fears.
