In astrology, planets are said to go retrograde, as you probably know. I’ve combined with amazing astrologer Kim Farnell to write a book about Mercury retrograde which is out later this year. Planets don’t actually go backwards, of course, but they appear to because of the perspective we have looking out at the other planets in the solar system. Astrologers have correlated these astronomical cycles with meaning, after millenia of trial and error.

You can see this astrological system within a bigger spiritual picture, if you want to. The way it goes is that the planets “go forwards” and we experience certain issues. Things happen, related to the planets and where they are in our charts and what they are triggering. This is all very complex.

More simply, though, you can see it that the planet goes forwards, and triggers “all this stuff” (emotional issues, dramas, lovely thing… depends) and so we deal or we don’t deal. We evolve, more or less, or we don’t. Then the planet goes backwards (retrogrades) and a lot of that “stuff” that came up for you, comes up for you again, only this time in a slightly more manageable way or so it seems.

In reality, you’ve learned how to manage this. Or have you? If you haven’t, then the retrograde could whip your butt a bit. We are here to evolve and one of the way we evolve is from the “stuff” I am talking about. We create it, actually, but that’s another story.

The reason I bring all this up is that Saturn is going retrograde this week. Saturn is all about lessons, mind you, so it’s pretty clear what’s coming; more lessons. The exact same lessons you had to learn earlier this time you can manage better. You can manage better, can’t you?
