Tomorrow, the planet of love and abundance, Venus, will go into a rare reverse cycle, so I’ll be posting about Venus on and off over the coming week or so.
Venus is the planet of love and abundance…
When she retrogrades, she brings with her second chances to do with romance and riches, she asks us to weigh up what really matters most to us and she gives us a chance to step back and see if we are taking someone important in our lives for granted.
So what about this retrograde business?
All planets go backwards and here’s why…
(but PS Venus retrograde only happens every 18 months)
Every eighteen months, Venus transitions from her evening star phase into a morning star phase, otherwise known as her retrograde cycle, lasting approximately 40 days.
At the same time as this happens, she appears to go backwards (retreograde) in the skies.
The picture here shows the pattern created by Venus over 8 years.
In astrology, it is believed that a planet’s retrograde cycle indicates how often you need to turn inwards on matters related to that planet.
So the Venus retrograde cycle tells us that every year and a half, it’s good to review of all kinds of relationships, including your relationship to money.
How’s your love life?
The retrograde cycle of Venus can be a deeply personal period where you take stock of how much you might be accommodating your own happiness for the sake of something, or someone else.
In other words, are you giving as much as you are taking and vice versa?
Venus has a special retrograde cycle that repeats every eight years. When she retrogrades, it’s a closure and completion of an eight-year cycle and the beginning of another.
