If you want to find out about the love in your own or someone else’s chart, there are several places to look.
When it comes to star sign compatibility, there’s a general rule of thumb:
Fire and Air signs go well together;
Earth and Water go well together.
However, I need to remind you that you’re more than just your Sun sign.
For example, a Cancerian (Water sign) with Venus and Mars in Gemini (Ari sign) would get on way better than you might expect with Librans and Aquarians, for example.
Why?
Because the Cancerian’s Venus and Mars in the Air sign Gemini will vibe well with the Libra or Aquarius’ Sun in another Air Sign.
Makes sense?
So again, when it comes to star sign compatibility
Water and Earth go well together
Air and Fire go well together
And many of us have a smattering of different elements in our chart!

Star by looking at the 2nd house – it’s informative because it shows a person’s self-esteem and that will strongly influence how they are in relationships.

The Rising Sign will show you how they come across, which will give an indication of how they are in love.
The 7th house is even more important as it’s effectively the Love Zone. What’s going on in there, and which sign is on the cusp?
And looking at that sign, how is the planet that rules it faring in the chart? What condition is it in – i.e. what aspects is it making to other planets?
Is it harmonizing with an easier planet (i.e. the Sun, Moon, Mercury or Venus) or is it clashing with a harder planet such as Mars or Saturn?
What about your/their Moon? What do you/they need in a relationship? And the 5th house? That’s where we flirt from, after all.
Lastly, look at Venus – that tells you about love. If you’re a woman it’s about your femininity and also about how you’ll love; if you’re a man it’s about the women you’re likely to fall in love with. For both sexes, it’s also about abundance – how you can get it, for example.
Try the following love-themed exercises:
* Cast a chart for your partner, potential partner or your ex’s Venus and Mars. That will tell you all about them
when it comes to love and sex. Can you see how true to type they are?
* Look at your lover or ex’s descendant (aka their Love Line). That’s the gateway to their love life – the sign
that’s on their 7th house cusp tells you a lot about how and who they love.
* Look at your own Mercury for how you communicate (communication being essential to good relationships),
your Moon for what you need, your Venus for love, and Mars for sex. What do you see?
