Many Moons ago, I was introduced to a concept used in sales where “who speaks first loses.” This may be the case still in high pressure sales environments or when you’re trying to seal a deal. While I don’t personally think selling has to be about playing mind games, there are some circumstances where it applies. You may now have to state your case at work, so don’t speak or negotiate until you receive a response or outcome that you want.
