Sometimes you can get yourself caught between a rock and hard place before you even realise you got there. Once you realise this, it’s often too late. Do face whatever obstacles that are presented to you head on. It will build your character. If you try and avoid or deflect from a tricky situation, then you’re only kicking the can down the road and you’ll have to deal with it another time. Your response is your responsibility.
