I was listening to this podcast the other day with a woman called Annie Palmer describing her Near-Death Experience, and she said something that stopped me in my tracks.

You know how, in workshops (like mine!), the teacher will often ask you to visualise yourself filling up with golden white light during a meditation?

Well, according to her, and as you might have suspected, that’s not just a pretty, feelgood visualisation. It actually does something.

Here’s the gist of it.

On the science side, every thought we have is both electrical and magnetic. When a neuron fires, the charge flips (negative inside, positive outside, then back again). That electrical spark naturally creates a magnetic field. That’s not opinion, that’s physics. In fact, hospitals use this principle in MEG scans to measure those faint magnetic fields buzzing away in your brain right now.

On the woo side, people who’ve touched the edge of life, through NDEs or through deep meditation, often say these tiny magnetic fields are more than background noise. They’re like little tuning forks. When you imagine light, or focus on love, you’re not just calming yourself down. You’re literally retuning your magnetic field to a higher frequency. You’re rewiring your brain and recalibrating your soul.

Why it matters to release upsets as fast as you can

If you hang onto a problem and keep replaying it, you reinforce the same neural pathways (hello, brain science), and you lock yourself into the same low-vibe story (hello, energy drain). That’s why forgiveness and release are so powerful. The sooner you shift, the sooner you stop rehearsing the pain and start making space for light.

The next step

Once you’ve let something go, don’t just leave a vacuum. Fill it with something higher. This is exactly what we do in Moonology. Cheeky, but true. The energy we feed is the energy we amplify. If we keep circling the drain with our upsets, we get more drain. If we choose light, clarity, gratitude, and trust, that’s exactly what grows.
