One of the smartest people I know – a true scientist – once told me
“Whatever you believe to be true is true for you…”
That might sound a little bit unusual and, indeed, it it was surprising that this very scientific man would come up with such an esoteric-sounding comment.
However, this man practised cognitive behavioural therapy, and he knew that at the end of the day, whatever we believe to be true is, pretty much, true for us.
Whether what we believe to be true is true for the rest of the world or not is of course another matter.
I loved this comment from this science guy because, apart from anything else, it completely meshes with everything I believe about the Law of Attraction which makes it possible for us to change our thoughts and change our lives.
This week, as we go into the waning cycle of the Moon, moving from the recent Full Moon to the coming New Moon, it’s the ideal time to change your thoughts and change your life.
Release thoughts which are not doing you any good. This part of the lunar cycle is ideal for that. PLUS we are moving towards a Mercury/Pluto link which will aid and abet us!
Remember, whatever you believe to be true, is true for you.
So what are you thinking about? What are you focusing on? What are you saying? Which stories are you telling people? Are you terrorising yourself with your thoughts? Are you allowing the wheels of your mind to drive you crazy?
The coming harmonious connection between the planet of communications, Mercury, and the planet of profound transformations, Pluto has our back.
When Mercury and Pluto are clashing, it can be quite troublesome! Mind games abound. Our thoughts can get dark.
However this week they are in harmony – as they are this week – it’s easier for all of us to tap into these energies in a really positive way.
So without further ado, here are the top three ways to use the waning cycle + Mercury/Pluto energies this week
1. Think about what you’re thinking about
That might sound like a lot of hard work or even a bit of a waste of time, but this week, if you pay attention to what’s on your mind, you will see why you are creating life the way you’re creating it. Everything starts as a thought. Look around the room you’re in right now. Pretty much everything you see started as a thought in someone’s head. So what are you thinking about? Are you expecting good things or bad things?
2. Focus on what you do want and not on what you don’t want
This is a line from the fantastic Abraham-Hicks outfit. If you don’t know them, look them up immediately! It’s also some of the best advice I’ve ever heard. It’s so easy to go into paroxysms of doubt and fear. Sometimes we do need to face our fears, after all. But overall come up we are all far better off by thinking about what we do want not about what we don’t want. After all, thoughts become things, as they say. As the inimitable Oprah Winfrey taught us, the more we praise and celebrate our lives, the more we have to praise and celebrate!
3. Be rigorous about changing the way of thinking
You might sometimes feel as though you don’t have a lot of control over your life will stop maybe you feel like life is happening to you rather than for you. Maybe you feel that other people have all the power. But guess what? You control your thoughts. No one can force you to think anything. It’s totally up to you to decide what you allow to fill up your brain. Given this, you really need to train your brain to work for you and not against you. This week, with Mercury harmonising with Pluto, it really is the perfect time for it.
Have a great week!
