THE WORD WITCH… right?
I’ve started to write my Moonology Diary for 2024 (!!) and there is a lot of MAGIC in the air.
We’re talking good, old fashioned magic – not the sort that turns frogs into princes, but not far from it!
Which got me to looking up (again) the meaning of the word WITCH which has been taken by the patriarchy and dragged into the murky muddy mire, right?
I love that, as per the image on this page (taken from the Kent State U paper in 1991) Starhawk says it’s from the Anglo-Saxon.
I am going to hopefully do a podcast and ask Starhawk about this – but I also want to ask an etymologist, if there are any out there.
