The stand-out theme in the month ahead…
The stand-out theme in the month ahead has to be the very rare alignment between the planets Jupiter and Neptune.
To put this in context, Jupiter is the planet of plenty and amplification, while Neptune is the planet of dreams, soul mates, confusion and deception. Jupiter is more straight-forward than Neptune; it’s about good things and then about more good things.
Neptune is a planet with a wide spectrum of meanings. At one end you have enlightenment, connection to the Divine, and inspiration. Think of the altered states you can go into after a big meditation or chanting session. That’s very Neptunian. However, at the other end of the spectrum, we have altered states of another variety. We’re talking about the kind of altered states to come with drinking too much, taking drugs, and generally being confused by life. Similarly, at this end of the Neptune spectrum, there is disappointment, deception and confusion.
Unfortunately, the Jupiter/Neptune link today this month is not a very harmonious one. In other words, we are more likely to get the troublesome side of Neptune than the uplifting side. More than likely, for the vast majority of us, it’s going to play out as confusion. It will be difficult to know the best thing to do. It might feel as though your intuition has temporarily deserted you. You may have more choices than you know what to do with or two choices and you’re just not sure which is the best one to opt for. In fact this is an ongoing theme of 2019, so if you’ve been feeling confused for most of this year, now you know why.
So what is the best thing to do? It’s said that when we don’t know what to do, the best thing is to do nothing, if possible. Allow events to play out. Sometimes it’s better to wait until clarity comes. Another really good thing to do under these conditions this month is to meditate. it might not bring the answers you want, but it will help you stay centered while you wait.
What about the moon?
Meanwhile, this month, the Full Moon in Pisces (September 14) and the New Moon in Libra (September 29). The Full Moon in Pisces is always a time to find a balance between all the things we have to do to keep our life ticking over versus our need for spirituality and fulfilment. So take a moment this month to ask yourself if you have the right balance between the mundane and the sacred.
Also note that the Full Moon in Pisces marks the end of a lunar cycle, since Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. Next month will mark the start of a new cycle as we get the Full Moon in the first sign of the zodiac, Aries.
The September New Moon is in the sign of Libra, the sign of partnerships. The New Moon in Libra happens once a year and is a very good time to have a restart in any of your most important relationships.
