Try as you might to go along to get along, but even you have to admit, that diplomacy isn’t working right now. So why not try another approach? Try being direct and upfront about what you do and do not want. When you can do this, other people will know where they stand rather than playing guessing games with you. Stop manipulating other people’s perceptions of you. Clear and direct communication will take you some getting used to.
