How have the past few days been for you?

Have you or has someone you know been acting – shall we say – a little churlish?

  • Babyish?
  • Stubborn?
  • Like their head was about to explode?
  • Was that person even you, maybe?
  • Did your plans go awry?
  • Is everything double-y weird?

The issue is that this week, we had a rather nasty and head-exploding Mercury (mind) Pluto (eruptions) clash to deal with. 😡

So if you or someone you know was feeling pretty darned PUT OUT BY LIFE recently, now you know why.

But here’s the thing…

Mercury retrogrades and Mercury clashes don’t happen just to test our patience.

They happen because as humans we:

1. Need the second chances that Mercury retrograde cycles bring and

2. Need challenges like a Mercury/Pluto clash to test our character and help us to evolve if we need to.

For my part, this cycle started with my son being upset with me (in a very teenage boy kind of way) because HE forgot to set his alarm for his work experience appointment — while I thought my hubby was waking him up (he wasn’t).

So son ended up having to jump out of bed and get out the door in 5 seconds flat – which he REALLY doesn’t like having to do this — and on top of this he had me repeatedly shoving an apple in his face saying “Hey, darling! Take this so you have something in your tummy!”

Ooops! 😂 Sorry, my darling!

We made up, but then that same end of my day also saw my dinner plans with friends going completely crazy after the restaurant we were going to had a power failure and moved all the diners into a rather less salubrious setting. This was topped off by the fact that the new area had unexpected live music which was so loud that none of us could hear ourselves think. 😂

Why is this happening?

We are now in the run up to the next Mercury retrograde (which starts May 10) so expect a few SNAFUS like this – some of the mix ups that happen now will eventually be sorted out after the retrograde.

For example, I’m willing to bet that my friends and I will go back to the same (usually LOVELY) restaurant and have a much better time when Mercury goes over the same point in the skies it was last night – that’s how retrogrades often work!

So batten down the hatches, dig out your sense of humour and get ready for the next Mercury retrograde ride!

And remember; dramas which happen now could well be sorted out later.

PS Now is a great time to get your head around Mercury’s retrograde cycle – before it happens – so you can make the most of it and use it to revise, rethink and review EVERYTHING!

Plus I have a Mercury retrograde live event coming up (NOTE: It’s free to Sun, Moon & Stars members!)
