We are in a new cycle…

In case you haven’t been keeping up, so to speak, we are now very much in a new cycle. The planet Jupiter – the planet of good times and good luck – recently changed signs and moved back into Sagittarius for the first time in over ten years. This is particularly good news because Jupiter is the happy planet, and Jupiter is very happy in Sagittarius. So having Jupiter in Sadge potentially makes for happier times.

The only thing to be aware of is that Jupiter amplifies things. Another way to look at this is that Jupiter can sometimes blow things out of proportion. In a time when we have so many issues to do with people taking things too personally, with so-called snowflake behaviour and more religious intolerance than any planet needs, we need to make sure that we don’t bring out the negative side of the Jupiter amplifications. We all need to do our part for world peace, for example.

As Ghandi said, we all need to be the change we want to see in the world.

Reasons to be cheerful…

Looking at this week’s stars, it’s worth bearing all this in mind. First of all we have the Sun conjoining Jupiter on Monday. This means that Jupiter is more in focus than ever.

On the one hand it’s going to make it easier to be optimistic and cheerful and to look on the bright side.

On the other, as it takes place at the same time as a clash between communications planet Mercury and angry Mars, there is a chance for feelings to escalate out of control. Ditto later in the week as Mercury then meets Jupiter. Yes, it’s great if you have to make a confident presentation or you want to write an upbeat email or you need to stars on your side while you communicate anything at all – but also bear in mind Mercury and Jupiter like this can turn out as saying too much, too soon and debates getting blown out of proportion.

As ever, the answer is to meditate.
