So here we are in the waning cycle of the moon. That’s the cycle that runs from the full moon, which we had last week, to the new moon come out which will have next week. I was reading on Facebook just the other day, someone writing about how they really tried to down tools during the waning cycle. If you possibly can, it’s absolutely the best thing you can do. However it’s not always possible.
For example, I am currently finishing off writing an online course which I’m recording with hey house next week. I did the first half of it while Mercury was retrograde and now I’m finishing it while we’re in the waning cycle of the moon. Absolutely not ideal and I can tell you, as much as I think the course is going to be brilliant, it’s been extremely challenging getting it all done!
So what to do when your real life doesn’t match up with the lunar cycle? Very good question, if I may say. About the only thing you can do is all your spiritual practices which keep you on track. So for example, if you like to meditate, meditate everyday. I was lucky enough to do a pretty intense full moon ceremony a couple of days ago which has carried me through up to now.
It’s become extremely fashionable to talk about morning routines and evening routines and so on. But it really is life changing if you can find the time to dedicate even just 15 minutes to you everyday. That can be a meditation, a chant, some yoga or a card reading.
I’m going to be completely honest, I am actually writing this in my pjs which I haven’t got out of all day! I’m only human! But I do know that if I can just force myself to get into the zone before dinner arrives, I’m going to be a whole new person tomorrow when I come back to finish this writing off.
