Don’t shrink from this card. Medusa’s super-powerful, very feminine energy has been misunderstood and misrepresented for eons. Her appearance when you draw this card suggests there is a misunderstanding at best, and a betrayal at worst, in your current situation.

It’s very common in New Age self-help teachings to remind people, especially women, that they need to put themselves first sometimes. However, this card carries the opposite message. It’s asking you to remember that as important as you are, someone else in your life needs help.

Maybe you’re angry with this person or maybe they’ve been behaving badly. However, when this card comes up, it’s a reminder to go as deep as you can to find compassion because, as they say, everybody is fighting their own personal battle.

Consider whether you’re being called to give more, offer your support, or make space for someone else who needs you. This is not about losing yourself or depleting your own resources. Matangi’s energy aligns with Gemini, and this card appears as a reminder that your thoughts shape your reality and your words create your life.

Are you caught in a negative thought pattern and finding it hard to get out? Or perhaps you’ve been speaking negatively about yourself or others. Matangi cautions that the energy you put out in words and thoughts is magnetic, and so comes back to you.

If you expect the worst, you will likely attract it. So refocus. Whether you’re aware of it or not, your current mindset might be steering you away from what you truly want. Think and talk about what you do want, and not about what you fear or don’t want. This is the golden rule of the Law of Attraction.
