This month offers us all cosmic permission slip to shake things up, get creative, and make the rest of 2025 count.

So the big news is that early on(is) in August, Mercury will finally moving forward, so plans start clicking into place. Straight after, Saturn and Uranus will be teaming up to help us build something new and exciting, while a magical Uranus–Neptune at the end of the month is a connection to spark wild and wonderful dreams.

Here’s a deeper dive into the three main August 2025 astrology events:
1. Mercury retrograde ends – August 11
Mercury has been retrograde in Leo, which might have stirred up miscommunications around creativity, children, or romance, depending on where it falls in your chart. When Mercury goes direct on August 11, the fog lifts, and the summer vibe feels clearer and more playful again. Conversations and travel plans will start to flow with fewer hiccups.
2. Saturn sextile Uranus – August 12
This is a big deal! Saturn and Uranus don’t connect like this very often. It’s a powerful alignment that speaks of lasting progress through well-planned changes. Saturn (the planet of structure and discipline) harmonising with Uranus (the planet of breakthroughs and innovation) suggests that if you’ve been chipping away at a goal, this is when the payoff could come. Think: building something new on solid foundations. It’s also about finding the sweet spot between tradition and innovation — blending the best of the old with the best of the new.
If there’s something you’ve wanted to reform or change in your life, but in a way that sticks, this aspect can help you make it happen. It’s like the cosmos is saying: “Yes, shake things up, but do it with wisdom and patience.”
3. Uranus sextile Neptune – August 29
This is another powerful moment. It’s happening because Uranus is retrograde in the early degrees of Gemini while both Saturn and Neptune are in the early degrees of Aries (with Saturn also retrograde). This alignment blends practical innovation (Uranus) with Divine inspiration (Neptune), opening a window for visionary ideas that can become real-world change.
