How did you start to work with the Moon?
Maybe you started by making new Moon wishes? And maybe you saw quite quickly that these actually can manifest into reality! (It’s a shock when it happens! But it really does…) If you haven’t done it yet, be sure to try it!
Or maybe you’ve realised the power of offering it all up to the Divine at the Full Moon every month? That also moves mountains in our lives.
Once you’ve mastered these 2 Moon practises, you may feel ready to start thinking about the Moon every day; where is She and what is She up to?
Here are 3 ways to start to work with the Moon every day
1. Have a look at what phase the Moon is in.
Is it the healing and soothing Balsamic Phase? Is at the more challenging First Quarter Moon phase? As you might know, there are 8 main Moon phases, (though I actually tend to use 9, including the Dark Moon which comes just before the New Moon.)
By starting to get familiar with the phases of the Moon, you will start to get familiar with the rhythm of the lunar cycle overall. They go around the same way every month. From the New Moon to the Full Moon and back again.
It’s a super powerful thing to become aware of, even if you only focus on it for a few months of your life and then it goes into the back of your mind. It’s potentially life changing. My Moonology Diary 2023 includes an explanation of what all the Moon phases are about and also tells you every day which phase the Moon is in! Grab your copy here before they all sell out!
2. You can also look at which sign the Moon is in.
The Moon cycles through all 12 signs of the Zodiac every month. When the Moon is in Aries, for example, you’re probably going to find everything is a lot more fiery. When the Moon is in Cancer, for example, you may feel the Goddess vibe or the home vibe a little more than usual and so on.
One of the things about working with the Moon as it starts to connect you with the rhythms of the planet, and, dare I say, your Higher Self, which is attuned to all life everywhere.
Starting to work with the 12 signs of the Moon is extremely powerful and one of the first things I did on my own journey to understanding Moon work. Have a look at which sign the Moon is in every evening and think about what happened that day. Maybe do a doodle or write something about it in your journal. It’s enlightening an exciting to do. Excuse me but I do have to mention that my Moonology Diary 2023 does also tell you which signed the Moon is in every day!
3. Which sign is the Moon in?
Another fantastic thing to do as you start to work with the Moon is to look at it in terms of how it’s affecting your personal horoscope chart.
Assuming you are already starting to work with your chart, look at the sign that the Moon is in on a particular day and then look at which House on your chart that sign rules. Is at your Love Zone? Your Career Zone? Is it your First House/Rising Sign? You will find that there is more of an emphasis or focus on that part of your life that day.
Remember that the Moon takes about two and a bit days to move through each sign and therefore through each house on your chart so every couple of days your focus will start to shift. Once again, it would be remiss of me not to remind you that you can find out all about the Houses in your chart and start to work out which House the New and Full Moon (and by extension the Daily Moon) is in using my limited edition Moonology Diary 2023.
Working with the Daily Moon is a really great step to take as you walk the spiritual path. There is a reason why magical women have done it for millennia.
Working and connecting with the Moon allows us to tune into our higher frequencies. The Moon is a conduit between the Divine and us here down on earth. It’s a portal to making magic in our lives. Connecting with the Moon really can change your life. Once you start, you’ll never want to go back.
