Here’s a little story to explain how Mercury retrograde can be useful!
Many years ago, back when I was young, free and single, I was living in Bondi Beach, one of the most wonderful parts of Australia.
I was renting but looking for a flat to buy. I happened upon a beautiful art deco apartment overlooking Bondi Beach that was within my budget. (See pic!)
So I went along to the auction and … bought the place!
Oh, and guess what? Mercury was retrograde.
While you might think that sounds like trouble, it was actually helpful!
Let me explain; firstly, there was a mix up with my mortgage. That’s a story for another day but the point is that because Mercury was retrograde, I knew that I would be able to sort the mortgage issue out. And I did.
So I moved in there and was extremely happy for quite some time. Then one day I decided it was time to go back to Europe for a visit…
I got to Paris and just decided “That’s it. I am staying here!!!!”
The only hurdle was I still had the mortgage on my flat to pay and therefore I needed to rent the flat out!
So I sent an email to everybody I knew in Sydney saying “I’ve just got to Paris, I really want to stay! Do you know anyone who wants to rent a beautiful little apartment at Bondi Beach?”
As it turned out, a friend of a friend did want to stay – and just as Mercury went into another retrograde cycle, she moved in. She stayed for two years when, honestly without any word of a lie, she moved out under another Mercury retrograde cycle.
Again, that’s how these cycles often work.
Keep track of them and see that what you start under one retrograde can be finished under a future one, for example.
I ended up meeting and falling love with my beloved husband Olivier while I was on this extended Paris trip and soon became preggers, so eventually hubby, bun-in-the-oven and I came back to Sydney and we all moved into this flat. We had a glorious 18 months there.
But then, our growing son needed more space, so we ended up selling the flat under… you guessed it, another Mercury retrograde! I kid you not!
I hope that helps you to see that although Mercury retrograde can indeed be a time of confusion and mix-ups, it also can be used to your advantage. You just need to know how!
