I’m on the mailing list for The Tapping Solution and I got this email this morning from Nick Ortner…
It read:

Which got me to thinking …
As you might remember, I went down a rabbit hole of feeling quite BLAH for quite a few weeks.
If you had asked me how I felt, I might have said simply “I feel blah” or “I’m sad…”
For the first time since my Dad died in 2008, I felt like I could burst into tears at any moment.
I talked about it quite openly on Facebook.
I believe it was a combo of pandemic fatigue, fears which festered in lockdown (which didn’t materialise, thankfully!) and the on-going renovation saga…
I think I had a touch of anxiety exacerbated by being cooped-up and it led to feeling down.
(It’s crucial to distinguish between what I went through, which could be described as my mental health taking a little kicking, versus people who are clinically depressed who would more likely benefit from professional help.)
Given that how I felt wasn’t too deep-seated, (even though it felt rotten), it wasn’t TOO hard to shift…
So?
I made a conscious decision…
I had a conversation with a friend and I made the conscious decision to up my meditation practise, to get outside in the fresh air more, to walk more, to put my anti-SAD lumie light on … and literally overnight I felt better.
I was incredulous at how fast it happened. Reading this above from Nick though makes me understand it better.
I made the DECISION to feel better…
I made the DECISION to feel better and – lucky for me – since what I was experiencing was a lot to do with my attitude, I was able to turn it on its head in as little as 24 hours.
I couldn’t understand it at the time but now I do.
So may I say, if you’re feeling BLAH, if you know a lot of it is in your head or even out of your control, DECIDE to feel better.
Again, this isn’t for people who are really suffering from depression. If you are suffering, seek help from outside, for example, your GP or a trusted health professional, as well as trying these methods
– do your daily meditations
– get outside, see daylight and breathe fresh air
– move your body
It. Will. Help. Even if you have issues which are more tangible.
It’s all about intention.
And if you’re wondering what the astrology of this is, here is my theory; right now (until next year) we have the planet of transformation, Pluto in Capricorn, the sign of discipline.
Discipline can bring transformation – especially now.
Discipline doesn’t sound like fun, right? But it can be life-changing!
And obviously, if you’re really suffering with poor mental health — remember it’s not surprising after all the planet and humanity has been through these past two years, so reach out – help is there!
Wishing you all the best on your journey!
