See the image above?

I feel this is extremely true.

I’ve even seen it in my own life.

Back in the olden days, I used to be a journalist.

It’s what I did after I left University. It’s what I always wanted to do.

I loved being a journalist but after a while, I felt like journalism itself was going down the drain. Sensationalism was all anybody wanted and I didn’t really want to be a part of that. It wasn’t why I became a journalist.

I became a journalist because I love to write and it seemed like a really good way to earn a living doing what I love to do.

Once the writing was really clearly on the wall, so to speak, I started to think about what else I could do. I already had a deep love for astrology and I started to think that maybe I could write astrology instead of regular journalism.

I started to tell people I knew in magazines and newspapers that this was my plan and after a little while of putting it out there, offers began to roll in for horoscope columns.

Of course I accepted them immediately, and before too long it somewhat miraculously became possible for me to earn my living by writing about astrology.

What was really interesting though, in terms of this image above, is that for a long time I still thought of myself as a journalist – just a journalist or reporter who now wrote horoscope columns.

When it came to designing and updating my website, I was always looking at newspaper websites and using them as my inspiration! I still was attached to the idea that I was somehow a journalist, but it was really the old me.

One cosmic night in Paris…

I remember going to some kind of crazy cosmic night in Paris where we all had to introduce ourselves. I introduced myself as a journalist. Someone there who knew me said “it’s interesting you call yourself a journalist, not an astrologer?”

That really gave me pause for thought.

The point of the story is that it wasn’t until I decided to embrace the fact of what I do now and who I AM now that things started to really fall into place.

Another deciding factor was when my lovely friend Rebecca Campbell, author of various wonderful Hay House books, said to me maybe I needed to shift from *reporting* what I had learned about living in alignment with the Moon, like a journalist reporting from the front line, to actually showing how to embody it – and teaching about it from that space.

So think about what you used to be and what you are now and/or what you would like to become. Where do you want to go?

You’ll have to let go the old to get to the new.

Want to change your life one day at a time?

That’s the only way to do it. For me, the easy way to do this is to connect with the Moon on a daily basis. I don’t do this all the time – just when I feel the need.

Sometimes you are flying through life and all is GREAT. And sometimes you need a little help.

I do believe that’s what the Moon is there for. To help us to connect to the Divine, the Goddess, one day at a time.
