The Upside of Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius
Mercury is now retrograde in the sign of Aquarius.
So what does that mean for us all?
This is a great time for intellectual growth.
You can throw out any outmoded ideas based on what you think is right and replace them with real facts by looking into matters more deeply and asking questions.
You feel inventive, and ideas flow thick and fast.
Your final decisions should wait but you can begin to re‑evaluate everything.
Aquarius has a very charitable side to it, so if you had plans to do something for humanity that got shelved because life got too busy, this is a great time to take up that plan again.
It’s also a time when you can be more mentally detached– a good thing in science and finances, among other things, but less good for dealing with loving relationships.
Five things to do when Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius
1. Decide whether any group or society you belong to still suits your needs.
2. Check your computer for viruses and malware.
3. Review your dearest wishes – do you still want what you used to want?
4. Look up an old friend you haven’t seen for years.
5. Get back to your astrological studies. Watch out for…Old friends may re‑enter your life but you’ll need tore‑assess what friendship actually means to you.
It might be that someone close to you lets you down or doesn’t act as you expected.
Beware of squabbles, misunderstandings and miscommunications among your friends.
Committing to talking things through (again)with friends is a key to making the most of Mercury retrograde in Aquarius
Mercury retrograde in Aquarius can put your thoughts in a feedback loop or echo chamber and your thinking can be especially affected by confirmation bias.
It’s harder– but therefore more important – to be objective and appreciate the value of other perspectives.
Watch out for crazy technology
Frustrations with technology are more likely now because Aquarius is associated with tech. Computers seem out to get you, eating files and directing your emails to the wrong person. If in any doubt, get someone to check your gadgets are working properly.
Change is constant, so it’s wise not to argue out of pride or attachment to how things were yesterday. To change the world, you need to change your own mind.
