When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This might be helpful out there in the big wide world, but not the best adage when it comes to your most special relationships. Even if times are, in fact tough, it can be really supportive to lean into your feelings. Tell someone what you feel or fear and open your heart to other’s feelings too. The more you soften, the stronger the bonds can become and the less harsh the tough times feel.
