But gurus attract hero worship—a clamor for attention— and that feels misplaced to me now. Yesterday, at the Ganesha puja, I noticed a woman consumed with tension as we queued for entry, determined to claim the best seat, as though proximity could grant her what she already carries inside. It struck me: how often do we seek light outside ourselves, forgetting we hold the spark within?

I feel as though I’ve been on this journey for some time now—stepping into my own power, learning to trust it. And I know Amma wants me to. Amma is my teacher, without a shadow of doubt. But Amma’s lessons are not about dependence; they’re about creation. Amma teaches me how to shape my life with purpose, with love, with service.

It’s profound, this dance of learning and being. It’s unfathomable, like the ocean—vast and mysterious, something you feel rather than fully understand. And maybe that’s the point. Some truths are not meant to be grasped; they are meant to flow through us, carrying us closer to the divine essence we’ve always been. #ammanarayani

This is my lovely friend Nathalie who runs Green Shakti here in India. The aim is twofold; 1. women’s empowerment via 2. planting trees. It’s an amazing operation that Nathalie and her team have made thrive. An example of one of their projects is they grow mango trees from seed.
