May 5 until June 4, 2012
(Solar Month of the Yi Si/Wood Snake)
Dragon, Rabbit, Horse, Rooster and Ox individuals enjoy the most favourable energy this month. The more effort you put into achieving your goals, the more likely you are to succeed, especially if you also maintain a positive and progressive outlook.
Dragon individuals should be wary of planning any important meetings or launching new projects on the following dates: (Tuesday 1st, Sunday 13th and Friday 25th May). They are significant clash dates for you, and thus make good ‘Doona Days’ for catching up on some much needed rest and relaxation. These clash dates can affect everyone across the board in various ways, so in general, try to avoid scheduling important events or meetings on these dates if at all possible. Please remember, this is a general guide only, if you have a BaZi/4 Pillars astrology expert examine your personal astrology, they can fine tune it further for precise days and times that are most specific for you individually according to your date, time and place of birth.
Some additional ‘Doona Days’ for Snake individuals are Monday 14th and Saturday 26th. The energy on these days clashes with your personal year pillar and they are more likely to attract additional obstacles and delays. Snake individuals should to go with the flow, regularly take deep steady breaths and focus on planning and checking your paperwork, facts and figures. There is likely to be some missing information or a missed communication that can take you by surprise if you are not paying attention this month.
Monkey individuals will gain more luck potential this month if they are focused on clearing the clutter and addressing unresolved issues. Be courageous and compassionate in your outlook, and if in doubt, throw more love at the situation.
The annular solar eclipse/new moon on 21st May places emphasis on communications and focusing on carefully listening with your heart and mind. People born in the year of the Rat will be especially susceptible to the effects of this eclipse. Rat individuals should generally take a holistic approach (esp regarding health) this month. You need to take some time out to chill and unwind.
People born in the year of the Goat, Dog, Boar and Tiger should maintain a generally conservative and cautious approach this month. Only loan money if you are prepared to never see it again. The same goes for risky investments. The key to successfully navigating your way through this month is to stay flexible, proactive and adapt/adjust your plans and strategies when necessary. If you are careful with the foundation building stage, then you will be better equipped to create something solid and lasting, but only if you take the time to plan and prepare carefully before hand. Try to avoid scheduling anything important on Friday 4th May (esp Goat individuals) if at all possible. The energy of this particular date has the potential to attract miscommunication, obstacles and delays.
Monthly Flying Stars
The 1+6 combination in the South sector this month has the potential to support financial acumen, intelligent thinking and physical talents, however you also need to be wary of unbalancing this favourable combination with fire element. The South sector belongs to the Li Trigram which signifies ‘fire’ and when the annual 1 and monthly 6 combine, they form a He-Tu combination for water. If the surrounding landform includes a significant ‘fire’ feature in the South sector (eg steeple, pyramid shapes, a mass of red colour), then this can unbalance the positive chi and attract legal problems and quarrelling instead.
The Southwest and West sectors will both benefit from the addition of some fire element this month (eg lamp with red shade, candles, burning incense, triangular shapes, colours from the red spectrum). Fire in these two sectors will bridge the communication between earth and wood, thus supporting abundance opportunities in the Southwest sector and creativity, research/scholarly luck and romance energy in the West sector. If you have a young child sleeping in the Southwest sector, they will be more vulnerable to the imbalance of energy between the annual 3 and monthly 8 and you should definitely add some additional fire element to their room this month as a protective precaution.
If you sleep or work predominantly in the Northwest sector, then you should also add some fire element to this sector this month to help calm the potential for theft, loss or confusion over important items or documentation and/or miscommunication.
The annual 2 and monthly 7 combination in the North sector is a He-Tu combination for Fire, so this month, you should be wary of potential fire hazard and/or ‘heatedness’ (eg fever, heated temper) in this sector. Keep a gourd (also known as a ‘calabash’ or ‘wu lu’) in the North sector all year (until 3rd Feb 2013) to help reduce potential sickness chi from the annual 2 Black energy and be extra careful with your communications, and also avoid overloading plug boards or leaving open flames from candles, gas burner etc burning unattended in the North sector. The sickness chi that attaches itself to the annual 2 Black energy is naturally attracted to the shape and texture of gourds and if there is a hole in the top section of the gourd, then the sickness chi enters the gourd where it is partially transformed into a less harmful energy. You can use an organic gourd, a brass gourd or a gourd-shaped empty metallic vase with a big belly, narrow neck and an opening at the top.
The 9+5 combination in the Northeast sector this month indicates ‘hot, dry earth’. This can stimulate dehydration and confused thinking, especially if there are fire element features in this sector (eg colours from the red spectrum). The regular sound and movement of metal via a singing bowl, brass clearing bell, harmonious piano music or a solar powered golden prayer wheel will help keep the monthly 5 energy calm and less harmful to the occupants.
The East sector enjoys positive energy that supports romance, travel, creativity and networking luck this month. If there is water element in the surrounding landform, even better, but make sure the siang sin/water star energy there is also favourable for water (according to the xuan kong fei xing/flying star natal chart of the building) before adding a large water feature to this sector.
If sleeping or working predominantly in the Southeast sector you should have plenty of metal element there permanently until 3rd Feb 2013 to help weaken the effects of the annual 5 Yellow energy. This can be in the form of metallic objects that are curved or round in shape, white, gold, silver, golden yellow, grey, brass, bronze colours and the regular sound of a metallic windchime, harmonious piano music, a chiming pendulum clock, singing bowl or brass clearing bell. The monthly 1 energy combines with the annual 5 in the Southeast this month, and this has the potential to trigger problems connected with fluids, leaks, the kidneys, bladder, reproductive organs and/or ears. The way to reduce this problem is to have the sound of metal and predominantly metal element colours and forms in the Southeast sector of your home and business.
Note: each compass sector begins in the centre of your home and extends out to the boundary lines of your property like 8 giant pieces of pie. The easiest way to ascertain the general location of each compass sector is to stand in the centre of your home with a compass and see which rooms fall into each compass sector. Here’s a handy guide to tell where each compass sector begins and ends according to the compass degrees showing on your compass:
North Sector:337.5 – 22.5 degrees
Northeast Sector:22.5 – 67.5 degrees
East Sector:67.5 – 112.5 degrees
Southeast Sector:112.5 – 157.5 degrees
South Sector:157.5 – 202.5 degrees
Southwest Sector:202.5 – 247.5 degrees
West Sector:247.5 – 292.5 degrees
Northwest Sector:292.5 – 337.5 degrees
