That done, you now have all you need to make the most of the energies this week.
This is a week for change!
There is a New Moon and then there is a fantastic alignment between Jupiter and Pluto. The New Moon is always the right time to set your intentions and make your wishes. Jupiter is the planet of plenty and Pluto is the planet of change. You don’t need to be an astrologer to work out that this is the therefore week to get really clear on:
What you want to change
What you need to do to bring about the change
How committed you are to doing what it will take the create the changes you want in your life.
Number 3 is the most crucial because of course, the stars incline, they do not impel, to use a phrase beloved of astrologers. In other words, they can open up the energies needed to create change, for example, but you are the one who needs to make the magic.

Speaking of which, I recently had an email from a reader asking why her repeated New Moon wishes to win the lottery hadn’t come true. This was such a great question!
My reply to her was that it was likely deep down that she had heard the statistical likelihood of winning the lottery (about 1 in 76 million according to one study!) This means that on level at least, it’s very hard to believe that a wish can make you win. When you wish for something, you have to really believe it’s possible. You have to feel it as a reality. For this reason, we are all far better off making wishes for things (and change) which we know we can actually influence by working towards.
