Everywhere I turn, there are people quitting sugar. As I am still waging a battle with my weight, which started when I was pregnant nearly SIX years ago, I probably should be one of them!
In a nutshell, it seems to be that we have all been sold a big con, the idea that fat makes you fat is not true, it’s sugar that is making people obese.

Stomping Saturn in sweet Libra is the ideal time for all this info about sugar being the devil to come out. Saturn is about restraint and control, Libra is very sweet and light. Saturn is the facts. Libra is sugar. If sugar has become a terrible unhealthy addiction, Saturn will do what it takes to stamp it out.
If you are joining the crew who think sugar should be quit, it might be a good idea to do it before October, when Saturn moves out of Libra and into Scorpio (a whole different stort!)

















Yasmin, it’s normal for Mum’s to carry some extra weight after having had children. Don’t pressure yourself, as long as your health is good. Just remember that mum’s need me time and some of that can be given over to some exercise which can be meditative and good for the blues or to restore feeling like ‘you’ again and not just ‘mum’.
On quitting sugar, Paleo diet, Atkins diet, Soup diet all these things seem like extremes to me. Somehow society has reached a point where to take the extreme path is the most desirable, whether in religion or politics and now how we eat. This is the malaise of our spoilt first world society. Why not just eat fresh, healthy, non processed food made from scratch, with ingredients sourced from local producers and not out of a packet or jar? The way healthy people have done for centuries?
I see people claiming to have “sugar addictions” or “carb addictions” but they don’t consider that they may also have an addictive personality. Often one addiction in that case will be replaced with another, like coffee instead of sugar for example. If this is the case some CBT might be in order as well as eating a moderate, balanced diet that provides adequate sustenance for fueling brain and body. Because after all it’s balance we need, in mind, body and spirit, isn’t it?
After a sugar addiction since early childhood I quit sugar a week and a half ago and I felt the benefits on the fourth day!
I have lost a dress size already, sleep better have more energy and my skin is brighter and clearer!
